ABOUT ALIGN

WHERE PASSION MEETS PURPOSE

OUR STORY

Align Collective was built with the concept of Ikigai at its core.

Ikigai is a Japanese philosophy that represents the intersection of passion, mission, profession and vocation—where fulfillment and meaning in work and life come together.

Since there’s no direct English equivalent for Ikigai, we chose the name Align to reflect the harmony that happens when these essential elements connect. Work isn’t just about earning a paycheque—it’s a vital part of who we are. That’s why we don’t just place people in roles; we listen. We help both our clients and candidates uncover what’s missing and help put the puzzle pieces together. Sometimes, a small shift—like finding a team that truly aligns with your values—can transform work from something you have to do into something that fuels your skills and purpose. And who doesn’t want to feel like they’re making a meaningful impact?

What we are not about? Placing candidates in roles that aren't a good fit for them. We are for quality over quantity, and true partnership that allows us to align to your business purpose so that your business can thrive.

Align was born from the belief that when work, life, and purpose intersect, people and teams thrive.

By matching talent with opportunity, we ensure that individuals and organizations come together in ways that are fulfilling, inspiring, and built to last.

Our Approach

We're a small team.

Which means we're agile, flexible, and able to tailor our services to fit your needs.

Our pricing is transparent.

Monthly clients are billed a flat rate, and retained searches are based on clear-cut percentages—so you'll always know what to expect.

We focus on quality over quantity.

By deeply understanding your organization from the start, we deliver fewer but higher-caliber candidates—saving you time and helping you make the right hire, faster.

We don’t post job ads.

That’s your domain. You brought us in to do what you can’t—proactively headhunt top talent, not sort through resumes from a job board or outdated database.

Meet Brittany

With a background in real estate development, Brittany’s transition into recruitment was a natural evolution—having been headhunted herself to join an agency specializing in Architecture and Design.

Her experience working closely with architects, designers, developers, and contractors—as well as directly with home buyers—has given her a deep understanding of the industry. She knows what great talent looks like and, more importantly, where to find it.

After three years of mastering the ins and outs of recruitment, she launched her own agency to focus on what she does best—connecting top talent with opportunities in Urban Planning, Architecture and Design. Her industry expertise, paired with an extensive network of candidates, gives her a unique edge in the recruitment space.

Brittany approaches every search with innovation and a mindset inspired by Simon Sinek’s philosophy: “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” Understanding the why behind her clients' needs allows her to go beyond the resume, ensuring the perfect match between professionals and the organizations that need them.
